"Think trees!"

Stronghold Tree Care provides high quality tree services from the Grand Valley to the northern San Juan mountains. Trees are one of the few assets that increase in value over time and are worth investing in for the social, environmental, and ecological benefits they provide to the community. The godfather of modern arboriculture, Alex Shigo, encouraged arborists to "touch trees" to understand and care for them and we believe the best way to do this is to climb trees.

Pruning
As arborists, we prune trees to achieve a desired objective. These objectives include lowering the risk for tree or branch failure, clearance, reducing shade and wind resistance, maintaining health, influencing flower or fruit production, or improving a view.

Removals
In the unfortunate case that a tree must be removed, we are trained in the art and science of rigging to safely disassemble trees of all sizes. Using redirects and lowering devices, we know how to professionally remove trees without damage to the surrounding property.

Planting
We love to get the opportunity to put a tree back in the landscape. From ball and burlap to grow bag trees, we can assist to properly plant new trees.

Plant Health Care
We take a holistic approach when making management decisions that focuses on trees and their interactions with the landscape. From root crown excavation to systemic treatments, we are dedicated to growing healthy trees.

Cabling
Some trees have codominant stems and poor branch unions, making them candidates for cabling. We have the experience to install cables in trees when necessary.

Stumpgrinding
Stumps can be an eye sore on the landscape but rest assured, we can grind it out. Bonus: stump grinding material makes excellent composting material for amending poor soil conditions.
